1. What We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and a hashed version of your password. We also collect usage data such as message counts, subscription status, and feature usage.

2. Audio Data

Audio metering and analysis are performed locally in your browser or DAW plugin. Your audio is not sent to our servers for analysis. For paid users who opt into audio storage, audio files are stored securely on Vercel Blob Storage for playback and cross-device access. Stored audio is deleted when you cancel your subscription.

3. AI Interactions

When you use the AI chat feature, your meter data (LUFS, true peak, stereo width, etc.) and chat messages are sent to a third-party AI provider for processing. We do not send your actual audio to the AI — only numerical meter readings and text messages. The provider's data retention policy applies to these interactions.

4. Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide and improve the Service, process payments, send transactional emails (verification, password reset), and communicate important updates. We do not sell your data to third parties or use your audio for AI model training.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage to maintain your login session, save your preferences, and store chat history locally. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

7. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Chat history and review data are stored in our database. Audio files for paid users are stored until subscription cancellation. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support.

8. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• AI language model provider — AI chat processing
• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — hosting, database, and file storage
• Resend — transactional email delivery

9. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Authentication uses JWT tokens. All connections use HTTPS. We follow industry-standard security practices, but no system is 100% secure.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export your chat history from the app. To request data deletion, contact us at [email protected].

11. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
